Sockolet utilizes the basic weldolet. The bore matches the outlet bore, and the existence of a counterbore roughly the size of the outlet provides a socket where the pipe can sit, facilitating installation and welding. Sockolet is used for 90-degree self-reinforcing branch accessory and is mainly suitable for small instrument connection or small branch pipe.
