Weldolets are the most popular type of branch fittings and are available in a wide range of dimensions. A Weldolet has beveled ends at both ends and is, therefore, welded onto the run pipe on one side and onto the branch pipe on the other side. The shape of the Weldolet ensures little stress concentration on the branched pipe, by providing an integral reinforcement. Weldolet is the most common type among all the branch connections and is welded onto the outlet pipe. The weldolet or welding outlet is the most popularly and usually used branch connection fitting.
